Gold Butte National Monument
Implementation Plan
Providing Public Input
The Bureau of Land Management wants your input
The Bureau of Land Management’s Las Vegas Field Office identified issues to be considered for the Gold Butte National Monument Implementation Plan during the scoping phase and invited the public to submit input during the 30-day public scoping period from October 31 through December 14, 2022. The proposed Implementation Plan will be developed in conformance with Presidential Proclamation 9559, the Gold Butte National Monument Proclamation of December 28, 2016, and the Las Vegas Resource Management Plan, meeting objectives of protecting natural and cultural resources. An Environmental Assessment will be developed as part of the planning process to understand the effects of implementation level actions in regard to resources found within the Monument planning area.
Although public input will be accepted at any time throughout the remainder of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process, those submitted on or before to December 14, 2022, are the most helpful for development of the Gold Butte National Monument Implementation Plan.
Ways to provide public input
Information, including anonymous input, will be accepted at any time. Although information will be accepted any time throughout the process, input submitted by December 14, 2022, would be most helpful in development of the Gold Butte National Monument Implementation Plan and Environmental Assessment.
