In April of 2021, EMPSi facilitated four live public meeting webinars for the United States Bureau of Land Management (BLM).

The BLM Arcata and Redding Field Offices are currently combining and updated their separate resource management plans (RMPs) into one RMP that will serve both field offices. This larger scale plan provides the opportunity to work across administrative boundaries and move forward as efficiently as possible with RMP revisions.

As part of EMPSi’s larger effort with assisting on this RMP process, EMPSi facilitated four virtual public “pre-scoping” meetings. These meetings allowed attendees to learn about the RMP process through a narrated slideshow presentation. These meetings also included a live moderated Question and Answer session and a live facilitated public hearing portion, during which participants could offer formal verbal public comments on the RMP process via the Zoom web platform or over the phone. These meetings also integrated polling questions to solicit input from members of the public and included a live website walk-through to show attendees how to comment on and access more information on the RMP process.
