Kenai National Wildlife Refuge Proposed Rule Amending Public Use Regulations, AK
Live Public Hearing Webinars
As part of EMPSi’s larger effort in assisting the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) with public outreach and comment on the proposed rule amending public use regulations on Kenai National Wildlife refuge lands in Alaska, EMPSi facilitated two live public hearing webinars for the USFWS on October 26th and 27th, 2020.
These webinars included a narrated slideshow presentation to provide an overview of the proposed rule, as well as a facilitated public hearing, during which participants could offer public comments on the proposed rule via the Zoom web platform or over the phone. These webinars were attended by various members of the public, including Alaska state departments and agencies, commercial outfitters, and non-profit organizations. These public hearing webinars were some of EMPSi’s largest webinars to date, with over 175 attendees and 69 commenters across the two days. Included below are some clips from these facilitated webinars.
These webinars were recorded as part of the official public record. Transcripts of these public hearing webinars are available to the public on the project website. For more information on this project, please visit the project website.
